Hi, my name is Summer, if you are stumbling across this post from the 2009scape discord this message is for you.
Why?
On October 26, 2021, I decided to leave 2009scape. I had enjoyed the community very much so that it became a daily part of
my life to check up on how the discord was going. I joined 2009scape back in August of 2020, and became a moderator within the
first month. My goal was to help people set up their private instances of the game and answer any questions. As I dove deeper into
the staff position I've noticed myself changing a bit as a person on how I treated people. This was both inside and outside of work
and I've noticed that all my free time started to become completely consumed. I had left a message in the staff channel explaining
that I am leaving 2009scape but I am pretty sure it was not taken seriously since we just had a bit of an argument. Nobody
forced me to leave but I also have just not been feeling it lately and it became a chore more than a fun project to work on.
Nobody really knows the stress of running a community regardless if it's volunteer or not. There is a lot of behind the scenes stuff
that occurs and honestly it was time for me to move on.
My Future
I am no longer an official staff member of 2009scape and I used the Open Source agreement of being able to use the website as my
own as long as I keep the code publically available so I both have my website and I'll be casually playing on my personal. I hope
there is no hard feelings and anyone is free to add me if you don't want a good bye. It was a blast hanging with everybody and I
really do hope for the best for 2009scape. If you are wondering that this site is an older copy of the current and has my own custom
wiki in the tab. This is the one I've been working on behind the scenes to have fun with the wiki side of things. Anywho, I will
catch everone later.
One more quick thing to share with everbody. It was a fun little Halloween event so I thought you guys could all view a beautiful Page
