Introduction

TzTok-Jad, also known as Jad, is one of the most powerful beasts in 2009scape. His name can be translated to Fire obsidian elemental. What makes him more difficult than most of the bosses is you must go through all the waves of the fight caves in order to even fight him. Once defeated he rewards the famous fire cape.

Taking on the Champion

Jad can easily kill in one hit with any of the three attack types. He switches between the three melee stages of ranging, hand to hand, and magic combat attacks so the required Prayer levels are recommended. While is is possible to defeat Jad without prayer, you must go through the other waves in order to get to him and without prayer you are most likely to die.

Jad is able to hit up to 97 damage which can take out almost any account. Saradomin Brews and the famous Hitpoint Cape skill perk can help boost your hp well beyond 99.

Jad was removed from slayer tasks quite awhile ago when a player named Rusty got a ridiculous amount of kills assigned to him. It was voted on by the community at the time and has not yet been decided to be readded to the game.

Practice Fight with the Champion

You are able to choose a practice mode in the same dialogue as the npc who counts the waves. Just say that you are wanting to practice and you'll have to pay a fee of 8000 Tokkul. Don't Worry! If you win, you get your tokkul back; however, if you lose you lose it for good.
